With decades of experience at studios including Blue Sky, Dreamworks and Pixar, our mentors are committed to passing along their technical, artistic and professionalism to the next generation of the gaming and animation workforce.
Mud Pie Labs is a purpose-driven full service gaming and animation production studio founded in 2020 by Dan Shefelman -- animation director and professor at SUNY FIT. In these roles, Dan saw a gap between the diversity of young, talented artists eager to go to work and the workforce in the gaming and animation industry. Mud Pie provides the bridge to their dreams, a working studio where they are trained through the process of creating high-quality work for clients.
Mud Pie Labs is represented by Blah Blah Blah. Founded 30 years ago by Andy Arkin, Blah Blah Blah specializes in representing top design, animation and visual effects production companies. Arkin took on Mud Pie based upon his shared vision of creating innovative work for clients while developing a more diverse and inclusive workforce. Mud Pie adds a new dimension to Blah Blah Blah’s strong roster of leading studios including J.J. Sedelmaier Productions, Aardman & Nathan Love.
